Activision engages TeamHaven across Europe to help monitor the launch of Call of Duty MW3

Europe – Activision Blizzard Inc is the worlds leading publisher of entertainment software across all the major operating platforms. Call of Duty is its most successful franchise and Modern Warfare 3 is the latest title for 2011.

Call of Duty MW3 is forecasted to be the biggest game of the year and Activision were keen to ensure that all their retailers had adequate stock and that all its in store promotional activity was correctly setup.

Spanning across Europe and working with all the major retailers, Activision wanted to highlight any significant issues quickly during the launch of Call of Duty MW3. In order to achieve this, TeamHaven was engaged by Activision to be deployed across Europe.  Working with their respective field teams, TeamHaven was set up and deployed in a few weeks and tracks and monitors stock and promotional activity across Europe.  Following its success, Activision now plans to use TeamHaven throughout the year to track all its key titles across Europe.

How to do quicker synchronisations with handheld devices

TeamHaven can be set up so that during a synchronisation, only the completed calls are sent to the server.  This greatly reduces the synchronisation time and skips any changes made to a project, such as new calls and revisions to the questionnaire. 

The handheld devices can be configured so that over a determined time period, a full synchronisation will automatically take place, so that changes made by the project manager will be sent to the remote device.

To set this up on the handheld device, click "File" located in the bottom left hand corner of the call list page. Then choose "Options" and enter the period you wish to have a full synchronisation. For example, set this to 24 if you wish a full synchronisation to take place every day.
